The man was initially arrested following an investigation by local authorities as well as the FBI. His computer was seized at that time. He was released on bail and later agreed to a plea bargain. The state attorney said the man admitted to searching for children 12 and under engaging in sexual activity. They have also stated he could be at risk of re-offending during his probation period.
The man's counsel has stated that he has mental issues and is doing much better after receiving treatment and needed medication. He also stated he does not feel as if the man will have a problem while on probation and that he is feeling better. Only time will tell what will happen with the man's future and what path he decides to choose.
