Connecticut man faces serious criminal charges after shooting

Police in Connecticut are actively looking for the man that they claim is responsible for a fatal shooting at a local club. The man will be facing several serious criminal charges which will include allegedly causing the death of a patron. The man has not yet been arrested, however police have stated that his identity is known.

2 Connecticut men sentenced for criminal charges re gambling ring

Two men suspected of being involved with a crime-controlled gambling ring have recently been sentenced in Hartford federal court. The men were found guilty of criminal charges involving an Internet sports bookmaking operation as well as illegal card gambling clubs in two different Connecticut cities. Each man was sentenced to a prison term, and each was given a heavy fine.

Connecticut police officer faces DUI allegations concerning crash

A police officer that is believed to have been driving while intoxicated has been arrested in relation to a two-vehicle crash in which both drivers were injured on October 6. Connecticut police believe that the officer was DUI at the time of the crash. She was subsequently arrested, and she has been released on bond and is currently on medical leave.

Wife dead, husband arrested for drunk driving and manslaughter

It's a tragic story of a couple who by all accounts were in love, and a reckless act that has separated them forever and brought inestimable grief to the surviving husband and to both families. On Aug. 18 the couple got in their car while the husband had reportedly been drinking. He was driving on a Connecticut road at an excessive speed, and drove off the road and into a tree, according to reports. His 29-year-old wife died in the accident. The 31-year-old man from Branford was arrested on charges of second degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, drunk driving and reckless driving.

Hartford County parents face criminal charges after teen party

Most people expect teenagers here in Hartford and elsewhere to be a bit rebellious and maybe even attend parties where alcohol is served. However, if parents are present at a party where underage drinking is taking place, they may be subject to criminal charges. This is true even if they don't provide the alcohol. A couple is now facing criminal charges after approximately 100 teens were caught drinking in their home.
